A Sears Mod 53 is a Winchester Mod 70. If Sears doesn't have an owner's manual for the 53 (and you can't find one on eBay), go here http://www.stevespages.com/page7b.htm for a Winchester manual.
You don't happen to have a manual do you? I inherited one of these from my Grandfather and was looking for info on the rifle but could find none. Reply to jthenry8@gmail.com
GOOGLE rifle shops state by state then e mail or snail mail them with your question. One of them will either have one, or know where you could find one.
Your rifle was made for Sears by Marlin, and is a model 336C.
State the model of the rifle? 126.19320 Answer: Both Crosman and Daisy made Air rifles for Sears under the JC Higgins name. Any model that started with 126 was a Crosman and any model that started with 799 was a Daisy. I believe your model is a Crosman 400 made between 1962-64. Go to the Crosman home page and click on "Download an owners manual". You should be able to find a owners manual and a parts manual there. See the related link
The Sears model 2200 is the same as a Savage Model 80 Series A.

Go to Proofhouse.com and look at the store brand cross over chart. Find out who made it for Sears and contact them for an owner's manual. If they are no longer in business, find a gun shop.
