The stock for this model gun can be found at cabella's
You will not likely find a Remington stock. I put my 722 in a Bell and Carlson stock and I love it.

You need to find a good gunsmith
No, a Remington 1100 stock will not fit on a Sportsman 58. The two shotguns have different designs and stock attachment mechanisms, which means they are not interchangeable. The Sportsman 58 is an older model with a different mounting system compared to the Remington 1100. Therefore, if you need a replacement stock for a Sportsman 58, you will need to find one specifically designed for that model.
no. Remington mde a m-31 pump shotun. Why do you ask?? no. Remington mde a m-31 pump shotun. Why do you ask?? yes, there is we have a Winchester 31 but can find no information on the rifle
Contact Remington directly. They should be able to identify the variant of model 700 rifle you have after a brief description of your rifles stock, finish, barrel length etc.
No such model is listed in the Blue Book or Standard Catalog.
Early rolling blocks and the years of the model 12 "pump" were not marked, need a good description to identify.

The sportsman 78 model Remington is the same as a Remington 700 adl, but i have yet to find whether to buy a short or long action stock for mine... so i would just go for a rem 700 adl stock
Are you sure it's an auto and not a pump action, it sounds like the predecessor to the Remington Model 10.
