In NRA terms, this is Air Pistol and Standard Pistol. These are types of pistols used in International style pistol matches. Air Pistol is usually a 60 shot slow-fire match. Standard Pistol generally consists of 20 slow-fire, 4 x 5 shots in 20 seconds, and 4 x 5 shots in 10 seconds (rapid rife). In addition, on my collegiate pistol team we also competed in Free Pistol (FP). That is for light trigger, single-shot pistols with advanced grips. SP and FP use .22 rimfire ammunition.

The straight is better for accuracy, but pistol is more comfortable for sustained fire (like target practice.) I prefer pistol 'cause that's what I hunt with.
Yes, but it will take some doing to find one.
All classes have a way to increase the damage that they do. For melee classes, this is Attack Power (AP). They more AP that you have, the more damage that you do each attack. For Hunters, you need Ranged Attack Power (RAP). This is because hunter's do not use melee attack power. Hunter's get this mainly from agility, and some gear. For casters/healers it is Spellpower (SP). This is mainly received from talents and gear. SP also helps healers in that the more SP that they have the more they heal each time.

Depending on condition, your Charter Arms revolver is worth about $180-220.
Price Variance = (Actual Price/Unit - Budgeted Price/Unit) x Actual Quantity of Output = (AP - SP) x AQ
A revolver4 is a pistol, however if you're talking about semi auto vs revolver, or mm vs gauge... Semi auto allows you to fire more rapidly and can carry more ammo, however many feel that a revolver is more accurate.
