Not particularly, BUT there are some things to point out:

  • Hi Point's pistols were designed to allow someone on a budget to be able to purchase a pistol without having to resort to crudely made Saturday Night Specials. In this, they were successful.
  • Hi Point's pistols are actually pretty reliable. First production runs tended to be a bit problematic, but they actually have improved the design since.
  • Hi Point stands behind their product. If yours has a problem or defect, they WILL fix it.

So, all in all, while I might still recommend you buy a higher quality pistol if you can afford it, I wouldn't dissuade you from buying a Hi Point if you were in need of something inexpensive.

Where to buy handguns ammo and accessorys?

Go into any gun shop. Some Walmarts sell ammo and shotguns/rifles, but I don't think any sell handguns any longer. Also, you can buy guns and accessories online at gun auction sites such as gunbroker.com
