Roller coasters are much safer than skydiving. Roller coasters breakdown very rarely and deaths hardly ever happens. When you go skydiving so much can go wrong. You may hit a tree, not deploy your parachute fast enough, or have a crash landing.
good question
Absolutely.
There is no law against a minor skydiving, but very few "drop zone" owners will take the risk - their liability insurance would be endangered.
People can go skydiving for charity at various different places of venues and events that hold skydiving for charity happenings all over the world and other charity events as well.

I would go to the internet and look up a skydiving place where you can sign up. I'm not sure how you get a job as an instructor unless you have expirience. The best way is just to ask your local skydiving place. Check the Yellow Pages.
If I were you, I probably wouldn't go skydiving only because it is a bit unsafe. Maybe your parachute will fall off you while you are jumping if all of your safety straps are not put together properly. Or maybe you could fall before you jump. It's very dangerous so I wouldn't do it if I were you!
I don't know why you would want to talk your wife out of skydiving. The instructors train them well and usually go with them on the first jump. Perhaps you should join her because they say once you get over the fear and try it, it's quite the thrill.
If first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
