Salt water can sting and irritate the eyes, especially if they are open underwater. Surfers often wear goggles or close their eyes while underwater to protect them from the salt water. Additionally, frequent exposure to salt water can desensitize the eyes over time.
it can hurt your eyes if you never see the light. dont try it just in case.
Yes, salt water can sting and irritate your eyes when you open them underwater. The high salt content can cause discomfort and redness, but it is usually temporary and can be relieved by rinsing your eyes with fresh water afterwards. Wearing goggles or a mask can help protect your eyes while swimming in salt water.
So if something blows up, you don't hurt your eyes and go blind.

The pool has bacteria even if has chlorine inside and you think it can kill all the bacteria but it can't , the ones it can't kill it will go into your contacts and it will give you an infection . I would not try this , it can get your eye infected and it will hurt . Yes you can with disposables contacts and swim goggles
