Most of the top swimmers are wearing the controversial swimsuits made from 100% polyurethane while the remainder will be wearing the Speedo LZR which is a 50% polyurethane swimsuit and caused controversy in 2008 as a series of world records were set by swimmers wearing it. These performance-enhancing, non-textile swimsuits will be banned from early 2010 by FINA. The result will be that a lot of the world records currently being set will stand for several years

Speedo Racer LZR Elite
The LZR Razor is not made out of sharkskin; however, it is designed to simulate the hydrodynamic properties of sharkskin. Sharks are able to achieve great swimming speeds in part due to their rough skin, which helps them glide through the water. The LZR swimsuits are similar in design. They also squeeze the body into a more hydrodynamic shape.
Currently, that is the Speedo LZR Racer. The prices range between $290 for a Jammer, and $550 for a full body suit. As of recently, USA Swimming has banned any swimsuits that go above the belly button and under the knee for men, and have banned any women's swimsuits that go past the shoulder's and under the knee for competitive swimming.
Swimsuit is a noun.
