Upsidedown Silver DollarI have had two silver dollars for about a year now and they have grown to be aprox. 4-5 inches. Yesterday I noticed after their morning feeding one of my SD were swimming around the tank acting very strange. My SD was swimming really fast and twirling around and around to float to the top of the tank UPSIDEDOWN! This continued for over an hour so I came to the conclusion maybe he had a swim bladder problem. Everything I read said feed the fish a pea out of its casing OR the problem was hopeless. So of course my SD's being my favorite in this tank my fiance and i went to every length necessary to feed our SD this pea in hopes maybe it would work. I mushed a pea up in a cup with some warm water and used a dropper to squirt the pea into the SD's mouth as he hung upsidedown at the top of the tank. I went to bed looking at my poor fish upsidedown at the top of the tank as though he was lifeles but still breathing. Wouldn't you know in the morning he was back to his usual self. It worked..
