Why do people enjoy surfing fun?

My favourite sport is Surfing. I have only been surfing for 2 years but I love the feeling of catching a wave. My favourite part is that nobody can tell you how to do it. I know I'm not near as good as girls my age but it is the one sport I don't care about what I look like or how good I am at it. When I was learning to surf I never realised how fun it was even though I couldn't stand up I just loved being out in the water. Surfing is truly amazing, watching it or doing it.
