Both Speedo and TYR are both two of the world swim brands (others include Arena, Jaked, Nike Swim, Blueseventy, Finis etc...). Speedo's best suit is the Fastskin3 Super Elite Suit while TYR counters with AP12 Credere Compression. The AP12 is a lot more affordable (50-100 dollars cheaper) though technically, the Fastskin3 is more advanced and it's hydro repellency is tremendous EVEN THOUGH the TYR AP12 is also extremely fast and efficient. Speedo does have the better goggles and cap, the Fastskin3 Super Elite Goggles and the Fastskin3 Cap (with hair management system), and TYR trailing a little bit behind. Speedo also has more world records broken than TYR with swimmers like Michael Phelps, Natalie Coughlin, Ryan Lochte etc... though TYR does have great swimmers like Matt Grevers, Ariana Kukors and Nick Thoman etc... In conclusion Speedo is currently a bit better than TYR, but I'm not saying that TYR is a very advanced brand too.
If your thinking about buying a great suit, Arena is also a great choice, the new Carbon Pro Mark 2 is a great choice (probably the best or second best suit right now)
Tyr Tracer B series hands down!
