I've been Surfing Westport WA for only 2 years so someone else may have a different opinion. The best waves I've experienced were in late Fall, Winter, and early Spring. The waves can get 2x overhead easy but is often windswept, choppy, and unrideable. Most people at this time ride inside the harbor where the shorter period swells are filtered out and the surf is cleaner. Days of large, clean surf outside the harbor do exist, however, and locals get it best. Water is cold in Winter (about 48 degrees) but air temps can get even lower. Summer surfing is warmer and more comfortable but the waves average waist high with only occasional bigger swells.
Google Maps estimates the driving time as 2 hours and 31 minutes.

"How far is it from Washington state to Korea?" 10 hour flight time. Best wishes
its lovely to surf on a nice hot day, but you should get out in any weather! whenever the surf is pumping really a lot of the time the swell is really small in summer. Winter is the best because sometimes you can score a sneaky sesh with a big swell and a light offshore... PERFECTION
Martha Washington did not get yellow fever. If she did, then she would have definitely be treated in the best way possible at the time.
