What is the difference between a board short and a beach short can you swim in a beach short instead of a board short?

Yes, you can wear a jockstrap with your boardshorts. You can wear jocks under any clothing. For swimming purposes you can purchase "swim" style jockstraps which have a thinner waist band making it easier.

I think the swimmer style jocks are more comfortable, and they can be a good call to wear under your board shorts.

Try the new Bike jocks. The waistband is bigger than a swim style jock but smaller than a old style jock. I surf wit it and its good.

You can were a jock under anything, including board shorts or you can "free ball" if you want. I would wear a swimmer style jockstrap, the waistband is narrower. Just my preference.

Check out helo shorts to wear under boardshorts. I get good support, and they're mad comfortable. Plus they dry out super fast which is clutch.

If you are on a swim team you could wear a skirted suit as a drag suit, that way you shave even more time at meets... If you just mean in a local pool or in your back yard, of course. The only thing a skirted swim suit would do is slow you down.

Board Shorts are made for swimming in, meaning they are made out of swimmsuit-like material, and beach shorts are just like regular shorts but they are much shorter because you usually just wear a bathing suit under them. :)

Yes you can But be warned, studies have shown that excessive use can cause nasty rashes to places you thought you never had. Wear a wetsuit or wetty shorts so rash is decreased

Board shorts are considered bathing suits if they have the net liner on the inside. If they don't they are just considered shorts.
