It is a AAA cut.

These are the different types of cuts in swimming

B, BB, A, AA, AAA, AAAA, NRT (Nationally Recorded Time).

Zones is a meet that has usually about 7-8 states participating. Instead of representing your club at the meet, you represent your state. The state with the highest score obviously wins.

If no state has AAA qualifiers, they are allowed to send the state champion to Zones.
