A dive is a head first jump into the water with arms out ( in streamline position) and legs straight out behind you so you are in a perfect line. Flips and acrobatical jumps are also dives. But the 1st definition is for swimming. Diving is used to extend or explode of a diving block. Dives are also used in competitio. Thank you. :)
