This is as varied as the locations you can dive. In Miami Florida I worked with divemasters that would work on boats for minimum wage. The perk was they could come diving anytime they wanted. On a liveaboard I knew a divemaster to make 40 dollars each time he dove with a set of divers on tour. I used to make 20 dollars a person for giving tours. Each person paid me individually. So call and ask what you would be charged in your area if you needed a divemaster. Then that will give you an idea. Just remember some dive boats have a divemaster on their deck. Sometimes they work for tips only and how much they bring home depends on how much care they give the divers onboard. My wife was a divemaster on a boat in Pompano Beach florida. At times her pay consisted of Lobsters or fish. If you are doing this to make money then first get in good with a few instructors. They often need help with students and they will pay you accordingly. Learn the names of all the instructors you can and all the dive boats you can manage. The more you are out there the more your name gets around. That is also for the bad stuff. If you suck then the reputation follows you. I loved teaching and got a great rep with the boats, so they always called when they needed help. Just be consiencious of the captains wants and do them, forget you, its his boat. Always seek out how you can help him.

How do you calculate your raise with percent hourly?

Answer: Either of the following methods: 1. ((New pay rate / old pay rate) - 1) * 100 2. ((New pay rate - old pay rate) / old pay rate ) * 100 Proof: If old pay rate = 15 $/hr and new pay rate = 18 $/hr, then: 1. ((18 / 15) - 1) * 100 = 20% 2. ((18 - 15) / 15) * 100 = 20% Check: old pay rate * (decimal version of 20%=0.20) + old pay rate = new pay rate 15 * 0.20 + 15 = 18
