Definitely not. Swimming requires much more full-body usage while soccer is just exchanged motions between the legs. Swimming utilizes teamwork in relays, although it is a mostly individual sport. Getting first in your heat is much more satisfying than scoring a goal since you can rub it in his/her face like "haha I win and I will always beat you" while in soccer you never see that kind of trash talk.

In my opinion, no. I am a swimmer and I think it is the best sport EVER! You exercise pretty much every muscle in your body and it takes alot of dedication and hard work. It is also very fun and makes you want to be the best you can be and makes you want to succeed. Swimmers are generally good people so its easy to make really close friends. Soccer, you just kick a ball in a goal. You only exercise your legs, and it doesn't take near as much dedication to the sport. Also, you can't tell when your getting better at the sport like you can tell in swimming. So if your looking for a sport to do I would suggest swimming.
