Depends on which piece of equipment you are looking at.....
wetsuits=NO
regulators=KINDA
fins=YES
these answers are of course subjective, but each manufacturer usually specializes on a particular product and expands their product base w/less than superior items.... ie: i love Zeagle regs.... wouldn't wear their fins if given to me for free.
Um probably Cressi
Cressi-Sub, IST and XS-Scuba just to name a few. They are all good snorkels. It's just a matter of finding the right one for your needs.
ScubaPro is an EXCELLENT Name. So is Mares and Dacor.
Someone looking to find information about Cressi can do so at outdoor sport and diving retailers. One can also find more information about them online in blogs and forums.
Mares, Cressi and technisub are all great brands.. When buying your mask and snorkel the most important factors you should however consider is Fit and Comfort
The costs for a good scuba mask ranges about $50 to $70
TUSA has contracts and purchases from the same factories as major brand name equipment but at blue label prices. Good quality / price mix.
Answer Truth be told most major brands (akona, cressi, seaquest, cameo, body glove which you can get from dipndive.com) are really about equal. The owner of my dive shop said once that there are a limited number of makers of the neopreme used in wetsuits and that many different brands use the same supplier. Personally, I have an akona wetsuit but I have used other brands and been just as satisified. The only caution I can give is to try on a sample suit at a dive shop before switching brands as sizing can differ slightly.
