According to Ohio law, you are required to wear the "available" safety equipment. If your vehicle did not come equipped with a safety belt then I would say that its not available and therefore not required.
You would find a Kayaker or an Eskimo paddling in a kayak.
For equipment safety training the type of jobs you will need this for are construction, warehouse, and retail. Most jobs provide on site training with their equipment, but you can also watch safety videos online.
