Novices are "newbies." Typically they will not have more than 1-2 years of experience, they are younger than other athletes, and their skills (along with expectations) are much lower. For example, a novice will perform a figure in a competititon with a difficulty of 1.0. In other divisions it is not uncommon to see difficulties of 3.2.

Sports in the water (swimming, water skiing, diving etc.).
swimmers use the music much as it would be used in a dance routine. They perform various "moves" with their legs, arms and bodies in time with the music. The goal is to match the beat and style of the music, so the audience is "drawn in" to the routine and feels like they are a part of it too. The music often reflects the girls swimming to it.

It would be a uberlight. Uberlights are good but way to expensive!!! A good board for a novice would be like a Think or Mini Logo. They have great pop, durability, and are reasonably cheap.
The Java program needs to be synchronized. Doing so can be complicated, but can be done. The best way to synchronize would be using the website and walk through the steps.
Yes, if the motion was synchronized.
The clothing you would wear while swimming is the definition of swimming out.
