Depending on how you look at it, you would have to do, I believe, 64 lengths of the pool to get to a mile. A lane may be 7 to 9 feet wide (I would say 8 in the center, 9 on the sides), and 3 to 5 feet deep, for lap swimming. Stats based on exeperience...
