There are 3 types of kicks in swimming that I know of. There is the flutter kick, which is kicking your legs with out bending your knees, the breaststroke kick, when you rotate you legs in time with the breast stroke, and the eggbeater, a kick used for treading when you rotate your legs in opposite directions.
