your time that you swim should be 4 times slower than your time that you run. 17 minutes says Andrew I differentiates, depending on big your lung capacity is...but there are some people that can hold for up/over 2 minutes! Now I can only hold my for about 30-40 seconds!

The average time is about 3-4 minutes, to much time without oxygen can cause brain damage. Swiss freediver held his breath underwater for 19 minutes and 21 seconds which is the world record.
