You have to have a certified Red Cross instructors certificate/license and be 18+. Call your local Red Cross for further info and the YMCA may also have classes.

This is incorrect as I swim for a club and 2 swimmers, 16 year olds are already teaching!

To teach a toddler how to swim is difficult, the best thing you could do is to take the youngster to an approved swimming baths where they have teachers who will have the experience and help in the form of an assistant to teach from the side of the pool whilst their assistant is helping the youngster in the water and gaining their confidence.

Just like you teach any other child. Take them to swimming lessons and give them confidence. Encourage them.

It is hard to do. You must show them what to do. They have a hard time learning it.
