Here is a site that talks about surfboard waxing and how to do it www.surfscience.com/topics/learn-to-surf/.../how-to-wax-a-surfboard , or this site that shows you how to wax the surf board www.wikihow.com/Wax-a-Surfboard
Surfboard wax
when you get wax on the bottom of your surfboard
yes, but you'll need a solvent to cut through it.
Wax it
Ammonia can be used to strip wax off wood, especially if they are hardwood. It is not recommended for softwoods, however, as it can ruin the finish.
To be stupid, one is cold and the other is warm, but to be smart the cold wax may be stiffer and harder to spread, while the warm wax will be easier to spread but more slippery. If you use wax a lot try just use sing it at room temperature. It should work! ;)
About 2 dollars.
To remove the old wax from a surfboard, first soften the wax by putting it under direct sunlight, using a wax comb, scrap the board, and roll over the wax ball on the board to collect the remaining bits of wax.
To take wax off a surfboard you need to leave it in the sun for half an hour, so that the wax melts. You can sometimes simply wipe/scrape it off with a wax comb or a butter knife carefully. To get the last remanants of wax off orange oil works well (with little orange man picture on front). If it was a surfboard you could try a little turps, but i would use turps sparingly on a body board as it coulc eat away at the foam,
Yes, more or less the same techniques are used. Surfboard wax and wakeboard wax are primarily the same material. Waxing a wakeboard before hitting the water will give you a smoother, safer ride overall.
yes, so you have less resistance
