If the pool is rectangular in shape then the formula is:
length X width x average depth x 7.5.
If the pool is circular then the formula is:
3.14 x 3.14 x pool radius (1/2 pool diameter) x average depth x 7.5.
If the pool has a shape other than these then it is a little more difficult.
For round pools you want the area of the circle x the height, or 3.14 x radius x radius x height, then convert feet to gallons by x 7.5.
A 24 foot by 4 feet deep pool holds 13,564 gallons.
The volume of water in the rectangular swimming pool can be calculated using the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism, which is length x width x height. In this case, the volume would be 18m x 10m x 2.5m = 450 cubic meters.
The state of matter that has definite volume, but indefinite shape is the liquid state. A solid constantly has the same shape and volume. A wooden block (solid) will not change its shape or volume unless it is melted, but that would involve changing it from solid to liquid. A liquid constantly has the same volume, but its shape changes. Find a cylindrical container that has the same volume as a rectangular container. Fill the cylindrical container with water. Then, pour the water to the rectangular container. The shape of the water changed from cylindrical to rectangular and the volume remained the same, unless some water was dropped in the process. A gas has changing shape and volume. Find a small container full of a colored gas. Open in it inside a room. The gas will spread all over the room. Its volume changed from the volume of the container to the size of the room. Its shape has changed from the shape of the container to the shape of the room.

Water displacement
It all depends upon the shape of the object. For example, the volume of a rectangular prism is lengthxwidthxheight. For an irregular shaped object, one strategy is to immerse the object into a measured amount of water, then measure what is the total volume of water plus object, and subtract the original volume of water.
Water vapour does not have definite shape and does not have definite volume.
WATER has no definite shape but has definite volume.
WATER has no definite shape but has definite volume.
WATER has no definite shape but has definite volume.
To calculate the volume of a rock, you can use the formula for the volume of a sphere (4/3 * pi * r^3) if the rock is spherical, or use the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism (length * width * height) if the rock has a more regular shape. Otherwise, you can measure the volume by water displacement: submerge the rock in water and measure the increase in water level to find its volume.
To get the volume of something, use this formula:length x width x heightTherefore, it would be:18 x 10 x 2.5 = 450m2 approximatley
Water (as a liquid) has a definite volume but no shape; a gas hasn't a definite volume or shape.
