Swimming keeps you in good shape and health. It helps to increase lung capacity and strengthen muscles. The resistance of the water allows one to use all muscles in order to push oneself through. It is not an impact sport so there are few injuries if any that occur when swimming. It is not hard on one's joints as running can be and helps one to maintain a healthy-looking body. I like to believe that it is the perfect sport!!
