Generally, swimming is a year-round sport with no set season. However, their are a few differences between the winter season and summer season. If you notice, during the summer Olympics, swimming is held in a 50-meter pool whereas in the winter (in the United States, this is the college swimming season) swim meets are mostly held in a 25-yard pool.
First off swimming is an amazing sport. It's works everything in your body and is just plain amazing. It's also a year round sport since it can really be done in any sort of pool. In the winter meets are held indoor and pretty much the rest of the year meets are outdoors, (maybe not fall, but you get the point). With that said there's not really a usual season of swimming. But swimming in the Olympics is held in the summer portion, if thts what you were looking for. Besides that swimming can be done whenever.

THis results in sports that are always happening somewhere in the world. In addition to regular amateur seasons, professional and international seasons often continue year-round, with tournaments and matches scheduled in just about every month; the few times when the pros get a break, the rest of us are playing too.Football is an excellent example of such sports.
