A Water Polo ball has two main layers. The inner layer is an inflatable bladder that holds air and basic structure. The outer layer is a rubber fabric that allows better grip on a ball and prevents the ball from absorbing water during a game. When a ball absorbs water it becomes heavy and hard to control.
Those are two different brand names of water polo ball. Actually a kiefer water polo ball is different then a mikasa because it is heavier and comes in number sizes. A mikasa just comes in men and women
Water Polo is a very different sport to Polo. The way it is played is completely different and the equipment is different. There are no horses involved, just like there are no mallets involved and the ball is also different. Water Polo has its own rules.
