Most likely you should replace the part as even if you use CRAZY GLUE which could be used, eventually the part would blow out. What part is broken?.....If its a Hayward filter and the pump which has a plastic cover over a basket......you would need to replace that as the pressure from the water going thru will only crack it more.

ANS 2 - An epoxy will work if you roughen the surface first. -A sand filter only takes about 25 psi. If it's a crack, drill a small hole (about 1/16) at each end of the crack, centred on the line of crack. This stops it cracking more.
