Orienteering controls are checkpoints marked on a map that participants must locate in the field using a compass and their navigational skills. These controls are usually identified by orange and white flags placed at specific locations in the terrain. Each control must be visited in sequence during an orienteering race.
Orienteering controls are 3-sided course markers. They are 3-sided, white & orange in color, and usually 1 foot square. In the competitive sport of orienteering athletes navigate their way as fast as they can on unfamiliar terrain between controls using a detailed topographic map and compass. Orienteering is an endurance sport and usually takes place in a forest.
If you are talking about WeSki then you will 1. Take the lift to Deer Path and i don't remember the other one but it's right next to DP 2. Turn and ski to the wall behind you and ski until you see a dead/dying tree 3. Turn before you pass the tree and you will start seeing fence. Keep going 4. You will see an opening so go through it 5. Once you go inside you will be stopped by a Happy Ski Resort staff member 6. You now have this orienteering point (find it later in the cave on the left side) and have a new course to ski upon. 7. Have fun!
