He is a former football player. He was born in January 1927 and was the first black man drafted by a NFL team. He led the "Indiana Hoosiers" college team to an undefeated championship. He was a Halfback, Quarterback, and punter, and he was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the 1949 Draft. He decided to play with the Los Angeles Dons instead in 1949. In 1950 George went to the Nfl and played with the New York Yanks 1950-51, Dallas Texans 1952, Baltimore Colts 1953-54, and Philadelphia Eagles 1955.
