Where do the followers go to worship Confucianism?

Confucianism was a syncretism of philosophy and ancestor worship. The present government of China has no apparent problems with Confucian philosophy, which requires no worship, but is opposed to ancestor worship and has turned most Confucian temples on the Chinese mainland into museums and actively discourages Confucianism as a religion. The majority of religious Chinese people follow Buddhism or Daoism (or Taoism) and there are active temples dotted all over China. Unlike the Abrahamic religions, Eastern religions do not necessarily require regular attendance at a place of worship. Small shrines can be seen in many Chinese households, where the family worships its gods at home.
