The arena officially opened on October 17, 1999, and was designed by the architectural firm of Marshall & Swift, featuring a modern design that accommodates multiple sports and entertainment events. Its construction aimed to revitalize the area and has since become a key venue for major sports teams and concerts.
It broke ground on 31 March 1998 but was opened on the 17 October 1999
