Straight Pool is the only billiards game that can answer this question where a high score applies. Although his record has been said to have been broken twice, neither has been officialy recognized as exceeding the high score achieved by Willie Mosconi.

The highest English Billiards break (4,137) was completed in 1932 by the great Australian Walter Lindrum OBE who held 57 world records and retired an uncontested World Champion in 1950. The break heralded a change to the rules of Billiards which inadvertently ensured the feat could not be repeated.
