How the balls are racked depends upon the game being played and the rules in use.
For 8 Ball, APA and BCA rules are different. Both require the 6 ball in center. APA has no other requirement. BCA requires that the 2 rear corners be 1 stripe and 1 solid. It is customary, but not required, under both rules for the 1 ball to be at the apex.
For Straight Pool, the 1 ball must be to the far right corner and the 5 ball to the far left corner.
The proper way to lift a bowling ball from the rack is to use both hands, placing one hand on each side of the ball and lifting without straining your back.
This is not possible in any common game of pool. Only Straight Pool allows the balls to be placed in nearly any position to accomplish this - no other common pool game allows placing the balls in that order. The middle of the rack is in between the second and third row of balls. It appears what is being asked is what ball will be in the 5th ball position, with one ball to left and one ball to the right if all the balls are arranged lowest to highest. This would be the 5 ball. However, Straight Pool requires that the 1 ball and the 5 ball be placed in the corners. Therefore, no pool game allows the balls to be placed in the way required - so, any ball may be in the "middle" position depending upon the game of pool being played.

You can play any direction on the table once the ball is repositioned in the d.
If it is called to go in that way or if you are playing APA pool it would be acceptable.
The ball should be griped with fingers never touching the palm of your hand.
A good entrance would be to cannon ball right it no stopping.

Using English in pool means positioning the cue at certains spots on the cue ball in order for the ball to curve a certain way (example-Left hand English, Right Hand English etc)
Although personal style and flair play a small role in serving, the proper way to serve a tennis ball is too long to describe on this website. Instead, click on the wikiHow link, below, for detailed instructions.
The easiest way to rack in 8 ball is by number. Start with the one followed by the nine then the two and ten then three and eleven. When you get to the five and thirteen put the thirteen first. The reason is tournament rules state "not to have a solid in either corner to reduce the odds of having multiple solids going in off the break" place the eight ball in the middle and break!
In many common lounges or bars, if the 8 ball is potted on the break then you win the game. In actual proper rules, the break is considered a fluke shot, and , as such, one cannot win or lose the game on the break. Under proper rules, two choices are given to the player; spot the 8 and shoot from where the balls lie, or re-rack and re-break. Keep in mind that if the original player fouled, the incoming player can elect to re-spot the 8, and continue as usual(cueball in hand behind headstring), or re-rack and break himself. Also of note:On the break, an 8 ball launched off the table is not a loss of game.
