The only mandatory placement of any balls is the position of the 8 ball, which must be placed in the center, with one ball to its left and one to its right. It is standard, but not mandatory by rule, that the 1 ball be placed at the front.
After that, the balls should be alternated, stripe-solid as they are placed. However, it will be found that 2 stripes or solids must be placed next to each other at some point. The decision to make (and there is no "right way"), is whether to have a solid and a stripe opposing each other in corners in the last row of 5 balls, or for both to be the same. This is personal preference, but this is where other players may object simply due to their personal preference.

Why do you think that the pool balls are set up in the shape of a triangle to start the game?
BALLS
In pool games, a triangle is a rack used to organize and arrange the billiard balls at the beginning of a game. It typically holds 15 balls in a triangular formation for games like eight-ball and nine-ball. The triangle ensures that the balls are tightly packed, allowing for a fair break shot at the start of the game. After the break, the triangle is removed to allow for gameplay.
