Most seating in a billiard room is bar stool height chairs and stools. This gives a good view of table play and also means that the television should be placed higher. The center of the television should ideally be at or slightly above the average person eye level when seated. This will be a few inches under 5 feet. So, the center of the television should be mounted no lower than 5 feet and slightly above 6 feet is still suitable. If it is a commercial billiards room, the eye level becomes less important than viewability - this will require that the lowest part of the television is higher than 6 feet to prevent people standing interfering with normal viewing.
