im not quite sure what you mean, but a knight can land on any particular square as many times as it wants (in its turn, of course) there are no limits to how many times a peice can land on a square, but some peices cant reach certain squares, i don't think. hope this helped :D

Where can a knight chess piece not move?

A knight is able to move to every square on the board because of its odd moving patters. However, a knight is best place where in or around the center because it will exert more influence on critical squares.

How many squares can a knight move to when on the middle square on an empty board?

There are eight possible squares a knight can move to when it is in the center of an empty board. For you beginning chess players, note that this is why you try to keep the knight in the center of the board unless there is a specific reason not to. Note that from where the knight starts out it only has 2 squares to move to. A knight in the center is much more powerful than on the edge or in a corner because of this.

What way can the knight move?

The Knight moves quite differently than other pieces on the board. It moves in an "L" formation, two spaces in any direction, and then one space to the left or right. The knight can jump over other pieces, so long as it lands either on an empty square, or on a square controlled by an opponent's piece.

Can a Knight check 9 pieces in chess?

No. The highest number of pieces a knight can threaten (not "check") is 8. A knight can move up to 8 squares at any given point (sometimes fewer if the knight is near the edge of the board or obstructed by pieces of its own color). The highest number of pieces a knight can threaten just after moving is 7, because one of the eight pieces it can attack is the square it just left, which thus cannot be occupied by an enemy piece. However, the opposing player could then move a piece into that square and so the knight could threaten 8 pieces at once.

How does the process of knight promotion work in the game of chess?

In the game of chess, knight promotion occurs when a pawn reaches the opposite end of the board and is promoted to a knight. This allows the player to exchange the pawn for a knight piece, which can move in an L-shape pattern on the board. Knight promotion is one of the ways players can strategically enhance their pieces during a game.

To square up a board, you need to use a combination square or a carpenter's square to ensure that the edges of the board are perfectly perpendicular to the faces.
