Walter o'malley the owner of the dodgers wanted a new stadium and Brooklyn did not want to build him and his team one since the attendence was decreasing slowly after the 55 team won it all O'Malley wanted to move his team to Baseball hungry Los Angelas. of course if they would have stayed in Brooklyn and in the fantastic confines of Ebbets Feild they would have made millions of more dollars. Look how well the Red Sox are doing.
