Well hard isn't quite the word to describe Wrestling. It's demanding that's for sure and depending on your weight class and skill it can definitely be hard. What sport isn't hard though? I don't think there is any point in participating in a sport if it doesn't challenge you mentally AND physically. Wrestling is amazing. Never be afriad to get out on that mat and give it your best shot! :D

Depends on your skills. Basketball requires a lot of running around and jumping while wrestling requires a lot of strength.

Wrestling because basketball is a sport that you can pretty much do on your own time and learn it. In order to get a permission to officially wrestle, you need to go through the training. There's no risk of harming your opponents in basketball as there is in wrestling so it must be done a lot more carefully even though it seems otherwise from the outside of the ring.
I'd say basketball requires more athletic ability because all they do in wrestling is hurt each other.
