It isn't. People think it is because when the people show the football pitch, it looks bigger. When it's the Rugby pitch they show it at the side so it looks smaller than a football pitch. From :)
No, a soccer field is bigger than a basketball court.
No, It's the same width; however a soccer field is 20 yards longer.
Hockey field is 91.40 m × 55 m Where a rugby pitch is required to be No LESS than 100meters x 70 meters with an in-goal area no bigger than 22 metres in depth
everyone have different awnsers Ill say rugby league or union is MUCH better than football (soccer). Soccer for me, is a game where it's basically all acting, if they want to dive everywhere on the field, go join a marital art or tap-dancing or something. Rugby players share blood, sweat and tears during every game. Rugby League players often play on the field with broken bones or jaws. Soccer, if they see a drop of blood, they start dancing off the field, bunch of girls.
The wages are increasing in rugby compared to soccer and American football
Football meaning AFL or Soccer? Rugby League is more popular than soccer in Sydney also as well as AFL. Whole of Australia, AFL is most popular sport, and Rugby League is second and soccer is 4th just after cricket.
A soccer field must be longer than it is wide.
The length of the Football/Soccer field for international adult matches is in the range 110-120 yards (100-110 m) and the width is in the range 70-80 yards (64-75 m), while American football fields are 120 yards (109.7 m) long, that's including the 10 yard (9.1m) for the goal area on each side, by 53.3 yards (48.8 m) wide. Soccer/Football fields have more Square Yard play-area than American Football Fields.
It's hard to say, generally soccer players all need to be very quick, but in rugby some players do little running. Brian Habanna is probably the quickest rugby player in the world and may be quicker than Cristiano Ronaldo when running, however a 20st forward would be slower. The quickest rugby and soccer players may be similar, but the slowest soccer player would be quicker than than slowest rugby player.
Rugby Union is alot bigger everywhere. The only places they seem to play it is Australia and northern England. Rugby union is a much better sport anyway. Rugby Union is more popular than Rugby League because Rugby Union is much older than League. Rugby Union players get much more than League players and union is played in more places than league. I recon League is much better than union.
Yes, soccer is by far the most played sport in the world, with hundreds of thousands of professional players.
Both sports are very fast. It is a toss up as to which is faster.
