Being strong is extremely helpful in football because it helps you to muscle players off the ball, or to protect whilst you dribble.

If you need to hold up play you could shield the ball up-pitch or if you are chasing a player from behind, you could use your strength to tactically foul them and allow your players too get back.

However this could be punished with a yellow or even red card.
