the player that goes in back row only for defense
A Libero, or Libro.
Libero
Well, it depends. If you think that you are a strong back row only player, then you probably could become a libero. All a libero does is basically play the back row middle position. If you are playing a 6-2, then there will only be 2 players in the back row, so the libero will have to fill in for that 3rd missing player. Basically, the libero watches anything that comes to the back and most of the time watches deep for the serves and volleys.
libero
It is a "Libero" which is a main defense player.
A Libero (Not Lih-Bear-oh ; Lee-Bah-ro) is a player that is a back row player that is mainly a defense specialist. He or she wears a different colored jersey then the rest of their teammates; A Contrasting color. The Libero is usually the most advanced in defensive skills of the rest of the players on the team. And the libero is not allowed to serve but only with a certain rotation. A libero also cannot block or attack when the ball is above the net.
The person with the different colored shirt is usually the best defensive player on the team, and us called the libero.
That player is the libero and cannot block or spike and plays at the back only.
I play volleyball and volleyball does not have a player from another team. What you are referring to may be the libero. The libero is a player that wears a jersey different from the ones that the rest of the team wears. They wear it to show that they can substitute in for any player in the back row of the court at anytime.
