Why does new york have 3 football teams NY Jets NY Giants Buffalo Bills whats the difference and are there any other states with more than one team?

First off both the jets and the Giants Play in NJ and the same stadium to boot. The bills are located almost 7 hours away from where the giants and jets play. The Giants and Jets also both are for NYC so they have no problem filling the stands. Lastly there are several states and areas where there is more than 1 team. Baltimore D.C. area have both the Ravens and the Skins. Florida has the Bucs Jaguars and Dolphins. Texas has the Texans and Cowboys. California has raiders 49ers chargers. Ohio has the Bengals and Browns. Steelers and Eagles.
