Bryant likes to "throw up the X" as a message to opposing defenses. "It's like I've just entered your end zone, I've just invaded your privacy," he explained. " 'X' -- I want you to know that I've been here."
He's done it ever since 2007, when he was a high school football player appearing in a nationally televised All-Star game in Florida. Bryant says the 'X' also has a meaning off the football field. "It's for the changes that I've made in my life," he said. "In other words, I've x-ed out all the bad stuff."
The Cowboys wide receiver now has his own web site -- throwupthex.com -- and offers a line of 'X' apparel.
