They did not go to "big colleges" because they were not highly recruited out of high school. Stephon wanted to go to Virginia tech because that is where his father went, but he would have been on the bench for the most part. VT missed a good one! (If I am not mistaken, they wanted him to redshirt as a freshman.) In addition, coaches thought that Steph needed more "meat" on him and they didn't see his potential. Coach McKillop of Davidson saw Steph's potential right away. Seth, on the other hand, has transferred from Liberty University in Virginia (by the way, GO FLAMES!!! (I am a diehard Flames fan!)) to Duke University to play for Coach K. Seth was not highly recruited either, so Liberty then-Coach Ritchie McKay (now an assistant at the University of Virginia to Tony Bennett; Coach Dale Layer, a former Marquette assistant coach, took his place) knew he had to have him. Seth signed and had a phenomenal season, accumulating over 700 points in his rookie season, along with leading all freshmen in the NCAA in points per game. After his rookie season, Seth wanted to transfer to a higher-rated conference. He knew he had what it would take. With all the attention- being Steph's "younger brother," leading NCAA freshmen in scoring, and scoring in double-figures each game- he knew he could go play ball somewhere else. He went on a visit to Duke, and Coach K wanted him. Well, he got him!
