Why did they build a new wembley stadium?

Because, although Fratton Park has a 20000 capacity, its very old, 112 years old. And its condition is deteriorating by the day, and a club at that level, should have a better quality stadium.

I guess because the old wembley was getting a bit old.

yer and also there was more people living in London and the old wembley stadium was a bit small so the made it more attractive and more modern so the can get more tourists

I am pretty sure they are building it for the olympic games in the summer of 2012. That is all I know.
