"Sidebuster" is a term used in the oil and gas industry to refer to a well that is drilled from the side of an existing wellbore. This technique is often used to access additional reserves of oil or gas that are not easily reachable from a vertical well. Sidebusters can increase the overall productivity of a well and are commonly employed in mature oil fields to maximize production.
