Soft balls may appear to be hard, as do cricket, Golf and baseballs. In actual fact they only feel hard to the touch, but each ball has a certain amount of elasticity. A tennis ball has a lot of elasticity and when stuck by the racket the desire for the ball to return to its original shape is very slow, therefore will only travel a short distance. A Soft ball has even less elasticity allowing it to return to its original shape even faster. Now a much harder ball will return to its original shape much quicker, therefore enabling it to travel a further distance.

All balls are designed to get the most efficiency from them according to their use.

idk they r usually really soft though <----- Not really

Volleyballs need to be medium, because if it's soft,it will not be bouncy enough to hit or bounce. And if they are too hard it will cause exscrusionating pain in your fingers and hands and will make the hand/fingers turn apple red.

The reason they call them softballs is because they have a soft core not because they are supposed to be soft on the outside.

A volleyball is made the way it is so it will stay up in the air longer than other types of balls. The design is meant to be aerodynamic.

All sports are challenging. If they are not, you are doing something wrong. In volleyball, you have to watch the ball always.
