George "The Fossil" Blanda was the oldest person to play professional football. He played an amazing 26 seasons in a career that spanned 4 decades. Over the course of his career Blanda played quarterback, place kicker and saw spot duty as a linebacker. In his last game Blanda, wearing the silver and black of the Oakland Raiders in the 1975 Divisional Playoffs, scored his last points in the nfl by kicking a Field Goal and a PAT. When he retired after that game he was 48 years, 109 days old. Blanda is a member of the Professional Football Hall of Fame.
